Hello Morning

Before going to bed one Friday night, I set my alarm for 5:00am. Falling asleep, all I kept thinking about was how I was not going to actually wake up at 5am on a Saturday morning. Why would I? But, for some reason when that obnoxious beeping went off in the pitch black of the morning, I got right out of bed. I threw on some clothes, poured some coffee, grabbed the camera and I was out the door. 

There is not much that I will get up for at 5am on a Saturday morning for, but a sunrise is one of those things. I don't know what it is about seeing the sun peak up over the horizon, but it is something that I have always found enlightening. 

I was not sure what to expect from a New Orleans sunrise, but I thought I would go say "Hello Morning." I didn't know exactly where the best spot would be in the city, so I headed down to the French Quarter. I found a park on the banks of the Mississippi river, and was not let down.
